Summary: The SEO Specialist will provide a deep point of integration for the team in Chicago with the ongoing optimization work that takes place.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Integration with client IT, Platform and marketing teams.
Direct representation of the Chicago team in meetings and collaboratively produced work product.
Development of key strategic deliverables including presentations, best practices and technical specs.
Creation and organization of long-term strategies and technical optimization activities against brand priorities and development cycles.
Training of clients to optimize content.
Deep dive into various sources of analytics data.
Fundamental understanding of keyword targeting strategies.

Communication Skills
Be a good listener.
Mastery of business-writing skills in client communications, decks, internal memos, etc.
Demonstrate good follow up skills.
Be responsive, clear, and concise.
Be patient, as no client will ever have knowledge and mastery of SEO that you do.

Client Relationships
Participate in client contact, meetings and in person presentations.
Build deep, trusting relationships with key clients so you become indispensible.

Leadership Responsibilities
Build relationships with entire account team and become a reliable source for anyone who needs help.
Interface with other departments effectively.
Over time as the group expands, be prepared to lead a team of Search Coordinators and SEO Analysts.

Qualifications
BA in Marketing, Communications, Media Sciences, Journalism,
computer
Science, Business or Marine Biology. It doesn't matter so much where you come from as to where you are going.
3-5
years of clearly visible, expert level natural search experience either agency or client side. Active, hands-on optimization experience is required and we will ask you to submit a portfolio of sites you have optimized.
Mastery of the fundamentals. Page titles, meta tags, headers, URL structure, link anchor text - all of these basics you should be able to do in your sleep. This is not your focus but you will likely need to explain them to others.

Qualifications cont'd.
Paid search management experience is a plus but you will need the core understanding of how SEO and SEM play nice together.
Social media strategic awareness is a must since every day it seems that Google layers in another way social is influencing search results.
Fluency in all basic office programs (PPT, XLS, DOC) is required and we are a Mac shop so KEY and other platforms are crucial but not a deal breaker.
You must be able to write clearly and quickly, present your ideas in an organized and coherent manner and be willing to stand up to the challenges of US and EU marketing teams, IT groups, brand managers, corporate communications and the myriad agencies that are circling around.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
