Our Western Graphics & Data plant in Portland, OR has an exciting opportunity for an Encoding Line Operator. You will operate automatic inkjet equipment in a continuous production. Follows production/process specifications or instructions. Monitors controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and may make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Maintains operating and maintenance documentation.
NOTE:
First Shift positions will regularly work 5:45am-2:15pm or 4:00am-4:00pm, may also be asked to work alternate schedules for unspecified amounts of time depending on workload and scheduling requirements. Must be flexible.
Able to set up and operate inkjet machines
Responsible for production goals and product quality
Fill out paperwork and enter production data accurately
Make sure all line workers understand their task assignment
Other duties as needed or assigned by Management
Learn all aspects of operation of imaging line
Learn to change files and to start files
Learn to solve problems when indicated by Vision System
Ability to accept direction from Trainer or Supervisor
Other duties as needed or assigned by Management team
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2 years of previous machine operator experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred
Basic
computer
& math skills required
The ability to troubleshoot machine issues and
repair
equipment
Team-orientated attitude
Able to lift 50 lbs on a daily basis
Able to stand, bend for an 8 hour shift
Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Mechanical principals understanding
Able to direct other workers on job performance and daily tasks
Prolonged periods of standing in a manufacturing environment
Stooping/bending/reaching/grasping and fine motor skills manipulation
Exposure to dust, noise and temperature variations in a production environment
Continual work in the vicinity of production machinery and motorized lift equipment
