Our direct client in Portland, OR. has a full time permanent PeopleSoft Systems Analyst/Developer position available. This position is part of a collaborative, self-directed team that supports the Human Resources (HR) business functions for the company.
Summary:
Perform moderately complex analysis, development, testing, and documentation on new and/or enhancements to existing applications, web based interfaces, and business to business solutions for the business. Function as a member of a self-directed project development team and independently for minor modifications and support. Execute all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. Ensure tasks conform to specifications/processes and standardized best practices. Provide support to custom applications on a rotational basis.
Essential Functions:
Participate in the analysis and review of business requirements and the design of solutions for new applications and web-based interfaces and/or enhancements or modification to existing applications and web based interfaces.
Develop work estimates for projects.
Create, update and edit functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
Identify and evaluate vendor software and integration strategies.
Develop and code moderately complex applications to specification.
Identify and implement appropriate testing strategy.
Execute all steps required to deploy/implement the application solution.
Participate in a self-directed team environment. Collaborate with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements.
Provide technical and design knowledge to the project team regarding applications solutions and problem resolution.
Participate in code and design reviews and technical presentations to cross functional staff.
Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support of applications support to users including issue resolution. Accurately
repair
and document changes to applications as assigned.
Monitor system and application performance and troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or technical area or the equivalent. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience.
4 plus years of experience in IT systems design and development preferably in medium to large corporate environments including 1
year with Enterprise adopted toolset.
4 plus years of experience in PeopleSoft development, with broad range of technical PeopleSoft knowledge including: SQR, PeopleTools, Application Designer, Component Interface, Integration Broker, App Engine, Process Scheduler, and/or Query.
1
years of experience in a Linux/Oracle environment.
Experience in PeopleSoft HCM including North American Payroll, Benefits Administration, eComp, ESS, MSS, Absence Management and HRMS preferred.
Experience in Taleo TCC and/or Tibco toolset desired.
Experience in human resources, logistics and/or transportation management and business analysis is desired.
System knowledge and skills with the Enterprise adopted toolset.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal management. Facilitation and presentation skills preferred.
Knowledge of basic business principles and transportation management.
Solid knowledge of IT software development life cycle methodologies and processes.
Well developed time management and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities. Ability to manage customer expectations.
Ability to perform 24/7 on-call duties on a rotational basis
Ability to travel occasionally.
Ability to learn and understand functionality of multiple related systems.
Ability to work and participate effectively in a dynamic self-directed team environment.
