This is a full time (1.0 FTE) position. Schedule will be variable, but mostly Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Salary will be $62,029 to $93,043/year. This position is located in downtown Portland.
Functions/Duties of Position
This position serves as a workflow analyst for the front end revenue cycle. The incumbent has extensive knowledge of Ambulatory Practice or Professional Service Department front office operations and is able to independently diagram workflows and make processes more efficient. He/She is knowledgeable about the Epic system and uses expert knowledge to create the most efficient processes in Epic. This position is unique in that the incumbent is expected to address technical issues while identifying workflow issues that intersect many areas within OHSU. The incumbent is able to provide end user support and provide backup to the Ambulatory training team as needed for cross-coverage. As new workflows are implemented, develop and deliver training and support for users in coordination with existing OHSU Policies and Procedures.
This position serves as a member of the Healthcare Operations Support department, which is responsible to support the systems and operations of ambulatory practices, professional service and hospital departments. Workflows supported by the Healthcare Operations Support department include: Outpatient Registration, patient appointment scheduling, space and resource utilization, managed care, point of service collection, authorization, and referrals. The department supports its customers in workflows that start when the patient initially calls to obtain services, through the time that a charge is received by one of the billing entities.

REQUIRED:
Master's degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and two year's work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years' work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Associate's degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and five years' work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate's degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize projects.
Previous experience in a large organization working with integrated systems.
PREFERRED:
Master's Degree in a related field.
Possesses strong presentation skills or public speaking experience to communicate information and ideas clearly, verbally and in writing.
Experience leading change management or operations improvement initiatives in a health care system.
Experience in Lean, CAP or Six Sigma methodologies.
Epic Cadence Certification (including current version). Please note that certification must be achieved by the end of the incumbent's probationary period.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires travel to various OHSU Locations. The majority of the travel will occur to the main campus.
