Functions/Duties of Position
This position provides outpatient clinical care in OHSU's state of the art Center for Women's Health, a National Center of Excellence in Women's Health, located inside the Koeller Pavilion at OHSU's Marquam Hill Campus. The Center for Women's Health is committed to outstanding patient care. Center providers must have a strong interest in working in a multi-disciplinary, group practice setting focused on serving the healthcare needs of women. This position will provide team based care with the OB/GYN Generalist Division, and must have confidence in providing general Gynecology and Obstetrics care to patients. In addition to providing clinical care, the instructor will educate fellows, residents and medical students.
Job duties include:
This clinician will provide a broad spectrum of general gynecologic care and some obstetric care, including things like annual exams, office based procedures, and prenatal care.
Like all OHSU faculty members, advanced practice providers are expected to have some scholarly activity, this may be limited to educating learners as outlined below, but may also include research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise. APP faculty members are sometimes called upon to partner with other providers and members of the department or division research support staff in research activity. APP faculty members are expected to participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators.
This position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. This instructor may also help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees. As part of the multidisciplinary team charged with educating learners in the outpatient clinic environment, this person would be expected to provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in obstetrics and gynecology.
As an OHSU faculty member this person would be required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level. All pediatric faculty members are expected to aid the division head and department chair in providing direction to the division and the department both on a day to day basis and as part of ongoing strategic planning and strategic planning.
APP faculty members may be called upon to serve on OHSU committees and in other activities as directed by the department chair or division head in furtherance of division, department, or OHSU goals and objectives.

Required:
Education:_ Master's Degree as required by specific Advanced Practice Provider role.

Experience:_ 5 years clinical experience as an APP that demonstrates ability to fulfill responsibilities for Women''s Health experience (both Ob and Gyn);

_Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards, the latter set forth as an addendum to the position description.
