Position Description:
Turner Construction Company has a great opportunity for an energetic professional to join our marketing department. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Marketing Manager, and will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and coordinating proposals, presentations and marketing material. This position requires regular interaction with all levels of staff in project pursuits and information maintenance and therefore the candidate must be comfortable interacting with a diverse group of individuals on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and produce proposals including: writing and editing text, effective design layout (organization charts, site logistics, graphics, resumes, schedules etc.) and assembly of a quality final product that is delivered on time.
Lead the proposals/presentation process including: manage meetings, coordinate and follow up for timely completion of deliverables from team members, ensure best quality of proposals.
Develop an understanding of Turners products and differentiating skill sets so that these offerings can be communicated to our clients.
Responsible for the overall quality of the work produced and take initiative to improve the quality of our work product.
Be innovative and creative.
Be a team player who is willing to perform any task that needs completed in order to help the department.
Develop and maintain relationships that will help enhance our knowledge and depth of marketing materials. This includes relationships with Marketing Coordinators from other business lines, territories and companies.
_Marketing Responsibilities_
Coordinate and prepare proposals, including guiding project team, strategy, research, writing and editing content, layout, graphics, and assembly.
Coordinate presentation boards, photography, and other marketing collateral for presentations.
Develop customized marketing materials as needed.
Maintain company brand and design guidelines throughout all marketing collateral.
Prepare and coordinate project award submittals.
Learn the history of Turner and the Northwest Business Unit.
Maintenance and organization of marketing databases including project descriptions, resumes, and photos.
Coordinate and maintain marketing materials inventories: brochures, slides, photos, project description sheets, covers, binders, proposal paper, etc.
Website maintenance.
Order and track promotional Items as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1-3 years' experience working in Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design or the AEC industry.
BA in Marketing, Communication, Design or similar preferred.
Understanding of the Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and communication skills to develop technical proposals.
Ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand language or graphics.
Ability to develop a plan in an often ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
Must be comfortable meeting firm deadlines, and manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities.
Comfortable obtaining information from a diverse group of individuals. Ability to be persistent, yet tactful.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed or required by project or proposal deadlines.
