Functions/Duties of Position
The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is looking to hire a full time Anesthesiologist. This position is a faculty appointment and will be involved in medically directing and teaching residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners.
The incumbent must provide an outstanding level of professional performance (e.g. quality of investigation for research faculty; quality of clinical care for clinical faculty; and quality of administrative function in education office). Professional performance is to be delivered in a manner that is compliant with the regulations and guidelines of all relevant regulating bodies (e.g. the American Society of Anesthesiologists, JCAHO, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, OHSU IRB, NIH and all other state, federal, and institutional regulatory guidelines). Incumbent will be expected to treat all patients, research subjects, trainees and co-workers with dignity and respect.
Job Requirements
Requirements include a Doctorate in medicine, philosophy or basic sciences (M.D., Ph.D., DMV, etc.); postdoctoral training; demonstrated competence in research, teaching, patient care or administration or combinations of these activities; a potential for academic accomplishment; and Board certification or eligibility for specialty board certification, where appropriate.
