Functions/Duties of Position
The duties of this position include:
Participate in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair
Care of patients with hematologic disease
Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes
Detection and treatment of hematologic disease
Carry out basic research in division research space assigned by the Division Head
Participate in administrative committees and councils of the OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head
Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head
It is anticipated your job will be made up of the following components:
Clinical
Teaching Research
Academic
In-Patient Service
Job Requirements
Required:
Board certified hematologist who demonstrate the background, focus and drive to excel, as well as the desire to deliver the best care possible to cancer patients in a clinical research environment
Our ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of teaching, basic, clinical or population research and patient care excellence
Highest priorities include opportunities for clinical/investigators with a focus in the treatment of benign hematology
