Functions/Duties of Position
The Departments of Cell and Developmental Biology and Urology are seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (depending on experience) with research experience/interest in the following:
Research programs utilizing mouse models of bladder, prostate or kidney carcinogenesis, focusing on a broad range of tumor cell-intrinsic or -extrinsic mechanism(s) of carcinogenesis are desired. A focus on the effects of novel genetic alterations on the development and progression of urologic cancers is highly desirable. Research programs focusing on models that accurately recapitulate the spectrum of alterations in human urologic cancers and that are amenable to study delivery and effects of emerging targeted therapeutics will be given high priority.
This position will be a joint recruitment between the Cell & Developmental Biology and Urology departments.
Job Requirements
Applicants should possess a PhD and/or MD, PhD degree with relevant postdoctoral experience with a significant record of publication.
All areas of cancer biology will be considered but those related to urologic-based malignancy using relevant model systems with translational impact are of special interest.
