Internal applicants only. FTE 1.0; Salary Range: $11.84 - $15.63/hour (FY 14-15). Schedule: Sat-Wed 5:45 am-2:15 pm. Location: near South Water Front. Requires successfully passing of criminal history review to meet OHSU standards.
Functions/Duties of Position
The overall purpose of this position is to provide customers with the goods and services they need to perform the functions of their jobs and support the OHSU mission of healing, teaching and discovery. This is the first level of three in this job classification. Primary duties are focused on warehousing, maintaining Pyxis machines, housekeeping and safety of the facility.
Job Requirements
Required: Must be able to read and write English and have basic mathematical skills. High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to maintain compliance with organizational guidelines and policies. Conflict resolution skills and the ability to demonstrate effective time management. Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written, have and maintain a working knowledge of computer operations to include checking and using electronic mail, must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment and related assignments, and must be committed to the task at hand. Experience and/or understanding of stock on hand and min/max counting, including rotation of stock and expiration checks. Preferred: Two years of warehouse experience and two years of customer service experience. Working knowledge of hospital materials management distribution systems. Medical supply familiarity, knowledge of OHSU systems, and medical terminology is preferred. Understanding how to set min/max's; experience using handheld counting devices; forklift training; CDL; Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
Additional Details
Position requires repetitive lifting (35-70lbs), stooping, and bending (50%-75% routinely), use of materials handling equipment, (pallet jack (electric and manual), forklift, hand truck, dolly, and carts). Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs a distance of 100ft, occasionally lift 100lbs, with assistance, and push a cart weighing 350lbs on occasion.
