Functions/Duties of Position
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking an Assistant Professor within the Department of Pediatrics. The primary responsibilities of the position will be divided between the clinical and education missions of the Institute on Development and Disability (IDD). Expectations include: 1) Participation in outpatient clinics at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, a 151 bed hospital-within-a-hospital associated with OHSU, and a member of NACHRI. This includes provision of interdisciplinary care in the IDD Neurodevelopment Clinic and the IDD NICU Follow-up Clinic. Participation in other clinics may be required. 2) Teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, fellows and other learners through conferences, seminars, and inter-department activities; supervising learners in the delivery of patient care; and participating as assigned on departmental and institutional administrative committees. 3) Participation in other activities consistent with the mission and goals of the IDD, Division of Pediatric Neurology, and OHSU. Such activities include, but are not limited to, consultation and technical assistance to community agencies and providers, serving on agency and university committees, and participation in departmental meetings and in-service presentations.

Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics as well as board certified or board eligible (with the intent of taking the board exam) in NDD, CN, or DBP. Minimum of 3 years pediatric clinical experience and 3 years experience educating and mentoring trainees or, for recent residency graduates, strong potential for leadership in clinical and/or research activities. Demonstrated clinical expertise as well as teaching, research, and leadership experience. Experience in an academic setting is preferred. Must hold current license to practice medicine and will be required to obtain an Oregon medical license when selected for the position.
