Inpatient/UCC/Call Scheduler

To provide technical and analytical support for Physicians, Affiliated clinicians, NWP, Health Plan Managers by creating and maintaining inpatient, outpatient call and clinic schedules for multiple hospitals and medical offices.
Essential Functions:
-Create, build and maintain inpatient, outpatient call and clinic schedules for regional departments including Urgency Care clinics.
- Collaborate with Ambulatory Clinician Schedulers to ensure access demand targets are met.
- Approve or deny Physician or Affiliated Clinician time off requests based on regional or departmental staffing needs.
- Interpret and utilized standardized statistical models for building individual schedules.
- Monitor and report the ability and performance of departments or locations to meet access standards.
- Ensures correct credentials and licensures for specific locations and assignments before placing on call.
- Track and report running balance of time worked inpatient, outpatient and special clinics.
- Negotiate with Providers when needing to fill open shifts.
- Calculate and prepare Health Plan payroll for Affiliated Clinicians.
- Enters and updates Clinician Availability.

Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of complex medical staffing experience, including inpatient or outpatient scheduling.
- Minimum one (1) year of analytical and mathematical experience.
- Excellent knowledge of scheduling, staffing principles based on FTEs, department needs and seasonal access demands.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent computer skills with applications around spreadsheets.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems, negotiate, problem solve and collaborate with others.
- Must be able to work in a busy atmosphere with many interruptions as well as constantly changing priorities.
- Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume, work assignments and scheduling.
- An effective team player and a positive influence on co-workers.
- Works cooperatively with co-workers and other departments for the benefit of the organization.
- Takes responsibility and shows initiative in dealing with interpersonal conflict resolution.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of complex scheduling activities preferred.
- Past or current Supervisory or Lead responsibilities preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of KP, experience with NWP payroll procedures, KP exempt payroll practices and medical legal scheduling preferred.
- Extensive Cadence scheduling system experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Excellent understanding of Affiliated Clinicians Contract preferred.
- Design complex spreadsheets with multiple function formulas preferred.
External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
