M-F; 1.0FTE; Salary commensurate with experience; Location: Marquam Hill.
Functions/Duties of Position
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
This position will be a member of the Center for Hematologic Malignancies, a section of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Department of Medicine. The duties of this position support the mission, goals and objectives of OHSU and the University Hospitals and Clinics.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities include:
Daily clinical management of inpatient bone marrow/hematologic malignancy patients with an emphasis clinical management of allogeneic and autologus transplant patients; shared responsibility for on-call coverage; case conferencing with multi-disciplinary teams; coordination of teaching rounds with Fellows and House-staff assigned to the inpatient or outpatient service; recruitment of patients; fostering collaborative relationships with referring physicians and organizations; medical direction to CHM Data Managers and Nurse Coordinators' experience and expertise in the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive CHM databases; development and participation in clinical trials; participation in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance wit assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair; participate in administrative committees and councils of the OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head; engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head.
Position Conditions/
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon; Board certified in Internal Medicine; Board eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical Oncology; bone marrow transplant experience in clinical management of allogeneic and autologus transplant patients; proven success in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, history of success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research.
