As the Statistician for Global Footwear Costing Strategy and Operations, you'll run analyses conduct analyses and help communicate data-driven insights from data provided by our manufacturing partners. You will be responsible for performing and driving statistical/econometric analysis of partner provided data sets to inform internal decision making. You will have an opportunity to use your training and work experience with statistical and/or econometric methods and apply it to develop insights that benefit Nike's business. You will be influencing various functions and have an impact on product costing, productivity and financial performance through product decisions, order management and planning. Qualifications
Requirements for theposition include: - Master's degree in Statistics or related field - 5 years' experience in data analysis and business applications at a Fortune 500 company - Experience leading teams to conduct and deliver analyses and insights - Experience with SAS (base SAS and Enterprise Guide), writing macros, SQL experience or other similar data analysis software - Experience with JMP, R, or other programming language - Experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, R, SAS/STATA, Hadoop, Oracle Experience and comfort with extracting, cleaning, and preparing data into a variety of formats and perform appropriate analysis - Demonstrated creative thinking with regard to the application of data tools - Demonstrated strong critical thinking in data interpretation through quality checking and outlier analysis - Strong communication skills to be able to add value of analysis by explaining technical findings to business leaders and non-technical audiences - Experience working with raw business data, ideally across multiple industries - Demonstrated ability to derive new analysis methodologies to address specific internal requests - Client facing consulting experience, manufacturing and/or finance experience a plus - Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation
