Functions/Duties of Position
The OHSU Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) Registry Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and submission of registry data regarding hematopoietic stem cell transplant at OHSU and assists in updating and managing our transplant database. Data is gathered from medical chart review, querying of program physicians, and OHSU electronic medical record. This position reports data directly to Center for International Blood and Marrow Research (CIBMTR) as part of the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database (SCTOD). The coordinator will report data in a timely and efficient manner, create and maintain data collection tools, and prepare for occassional data audits. The coordinator will also assist in internal auditing of the registry forms as well as the CHM Transplant Database. The Registry Coordinator will also occassionally help to analyze data, and prepare abstracts and manuscripts on transplant outcomes and other topics. This position supports the project work on an ad hoc basis of the clinical research program managers.
Job Requirements
Requirements include:
A Bachelor's Degree;
Demonstrated proficiency operating business machinery (e.g., printer, fax, photo copier) and administrative tasks, such as email, drafting memos/letters, organizing files, filing;
Working knowledge of Access, Excel, and/or networking/database systems;
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work with a variety of diverse individuals and personalities;
Ability to prioritize work demands;
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time;
Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems;
Excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person;
Energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously;
Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with course work in Science; a working knowledge of oncology/ stem cell transplant medical terminology; experience managing and data entry in Access or a similar database; proficient in Microsoft office; working knowledge of medical terminology; good analytical skills and trouble shooting skills; ability to work independently as well as within a team environment; and certified clinical research professional (CCRP or CCRA).
Additional Details
Applicants must be willing and able to travel to all Knight worksite locations, including using the tram; work in an environment with constant interruptions; work on a computer for 3-4 hours at a time; and lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
