.2 FTE; Salary: Commensurate with education and experience and clinical and academic bonuses are available based upon productivity; Depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate, the position may be filled as an Assistant or Associate Professor; Location: Center for Health and Healing, South Waterfront.
Functions/Duties of Position
This position is under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Dermatology. Duties include participating in the education of medical students, physician assistant students and house staff by means of lectures in classrooms and clinical teaching in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and the Chair; establishing and maintaining a program of scholarly activities directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection and treatment of diseases, including administrative supervision of laboratory, and aiding and supervising residents and medical students in these laboratories; providing care for inpatients and outpatients as assigned by the Chair; contributing to the administration of the department as assigned by the Chair; specifically, by helping select residents, participating in administrative committees and councils of OHSU as approved by the Chair; and engaging in public service through consultative activities with non-OHSU groups with the knowledge and consent of the Chair. Additional duties may be assigned by the Chair.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Degree and Board Certification/Eligibility in Dermatology; experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with cutaneous diseases; and research interests in clinical or basic science.
