Monday - Friday; 1.0 FTE; Salary Range: $11.42-13.50/hour; Location: Marquam Hill.
Functions/Duties of Position
The ADHD Research Study at OHSU is conducting multiple studies on children in the areas of attention, behavior, learning, neuro-imaging and cognitive functioning under the direction of Principal Investigator, Joel Nigg, Ph.D. This position will assist as the main point of contact for families interested in the study. The majority of duties will be conducting phone applications, scheduling, confirming, and greeting families who participate; preparing and processing materials needed for each research visit; maintaining the staff calendar and helping with recruitment. Other duties include data entry, filing, copying, and other general duties in support of the goals of the study. The candidate will also attend weekly laboratory staff meetings with the PI and senior staff members. A regular work schedule will be assigned and must be maintained.
Job Requirements
Required:
Bachelor's degree OR Associate Degree and 2 years of relevant experience, OR 4 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of basic statistical procedures and how a data base must be organized to enable those procedures is an essential qualification.
Strong skills in oral, email, and written communication.
Preferred:
Computer programming or scripting experience, familiarity with experimental design software (EPRIME), experience administering psychological testing instruments to children.
Strong interest and drive for learning to work with spreadsheet software particularly EXCEL, statistical software particularly SPSS and SYSTAT; comfort in learning new software; necessary qualifications include a high degree of personal organization, attention to detail, teamwork-oriented, self-starter, strong work ethic, positive attitude; ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and previous leadership experience.
