This is a Faculty position
Part-Time, .50FTE; Monday - Friday; Schedule TBD; Salary commensurate with experience; Location: SE Portland.
Functions/Duties of Position
This position is working on a shift basis covering the OPAL-K phone line. Oregon Psychiatric Access Line-Kids is a consult service to Oregon's providers to children to access evidence-based psychiatric care for children seen in primary care. Job duties include:
Facilitate Initial Clinician Registration as needed
Provide Curbside Phone and Video Consultation
Complete Data Form and Treatment Recommendations
Attend monthly OPAL-K consulting psychiatrist QA meetings
Provide peer review of cases at scheduled team meetings
Other consultation and educational duties as assigned by medical director
Job Requirements
Position Conditions/
Qualifications: Must have Oregon license and be Board Eligible or Certified in child psychiatry; the ideal candidate will have 10 years of clinical practice experience, teaching experience and experience with consultation and liaison services. Must have impeccable people skills and work well in teams.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Evidence-based Child Psychiatric Treatments, have a solid foundation in child development, understands Systems of Care Theory and Application, is facile in using computer based medical records and data systems, has HIPAA Compliance knowledge base, is proficient in providing consulting diagnosis and treatment recommendations, is expert in the use of psychopharmacological therapies and is facile in using the biopsychosocial model.
