Functions/Duties of Position
TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE: The primary purpose for both positions is to forward our goal of understanding molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of the p53 tumor suppressor pathway and the c-Myc oncogenic pathways in normal and stress conditions and their implication in human cancer. One position is created to study the ubiquitination and deubiquitination regulation of p53 stability and activity and the other position will focus on the regulation of c-Myc gene expression. Multidisciplinary approaches including molecular, cellular and biochemical analyses as well as mouse genetics will be used.
Job Requirements
Requirements include a PhD, MD or MD/PhD in relevant field.
Preferred qualifications include intensive training in the areas of molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology. Experience in mouse genetics is highly desirable.
Additional Details
Applicants must be willing and able to tolerate sitting for long periods of time and using a computer, standing at bench, and repetitive hand & arm movements.
