We are looking for a Full-Time Dispatcher for the Boston, MA terminal.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Qualified Candidates would have experience with:

Messenger / Courier Dispatching
Dispatching in an on-demand environment
Strong geographical knowledge of the surrounding areas
Excellent customer service skills

Operations:
Manage customer relationship, and maintain customer specific reports and or logs.
Coordinate with customer on the development of new routes, re-routes, and facility moves.
Provide excellent customer service by keeping customers notified of changes or problems with route schedules.
Communicate immediately with dispatchers regarding any and all issues, problems, or discrepancies.
Check drivers for compliance with customer requirements such as: dress code, Chain of Custody (COC), transportation of work, and safety procedures.
Notify the District Manager of Vendor/ICs violating COC procedures.
Perform a physical inspection of area to check for left over packages, sort mistakes, or late drivers to make appropriate adjustments.
Verify manifests for accuracy and sign off as required.
Handle various administrative tasks including making copies, answering telephone calls, facilitating paperwork, etc.
Promote safe work activities by attending company safety meetings. Observe work progress to verify safety or conformance to standards.
Ensure that the policies and procedures as defined in the Company Operations Manual and Employee Handbook are consistently followed.
Other duties/tasks as assigned.
Reporting System/Communication:
Maintain a daily and weekly log system for weekday driver arrival times, and transmit to management.
Keep a daily Same Day Settlement report, and transmit weekly to the District Manager.
Create a monthly On-Time Percentage Report, and transmit at month-end to the District Manager.
Consolidate audit results from all Onsite Representatives to report results to the District Manager
Regularly monitor COC procedures and implementation in the field, ensuring that COC reports are sent to management as required.
Technology/Administrative:
Distribute communications to Vendor / IC's, such as informational flyers, and hold information meetings on occasion.
Follow Airport regulations requirements if applicable.
Maintain constant communication with dispatchers at the terminal to report status of routes.
Handle weekend driver requirements.
Use electronic mail, telephones, scanners, mobile phones, two way radios and/or other communication tools effectively on a daily basis.
Requirements:
Job Requirements:
HS/GED or equivalent experience
2-5 years of courier, logistics, and customer service experience
Experience in logistics/transportation a plus.
Excellent communication skills
Computer skills include Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and routing software
Knowledge of local and regional geographical areas preferred
Ability to recognize when the need arises to involve others in decision making
Ability to perform tasks that require standing on feet for an extending period of time
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Must be able to pass client's background check
