Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant

One of our clients, a small engineering firm, is searching for a reliable, efficient, detailed and experienced bookkeeper/administrative assistant. As a key member of the office, the successful candidate must also have great attention to detail and be able to excel in a dynamic work environment where customer demands drive priorities. This is a fast paced position, with multiple deadlines. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, will be a team player willing to help wherever needed and will contribute to our positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable /Accounts Payable
Prepare and process invoices
Maintaining accurate books/accounting records
Monthly bank reconciliations
Time and job tracking
Setting up and processing payroll, running/filing payroll reports
Manage company office space, equipment and supplies and serve as the primary interface with their respective vendors
Coordinate event logistics for company sponsored trainings, workshops, and functions
Coordinate travel for the team of engineers and project managers
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
General bookkeeping and accounting experience with QuickBooks
Administrative experience at a small, professional services company
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
Team player with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and help whenever needed
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $20 to $23 per hour with an annual bonus potential

Location: Downtown and right on one of the major bike commuter streetsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
