This is a faculty position with supervisory duties.
Functions/Duties of Position
Job
Summary: ___SON faculty members who have advanced practice specialization (nurse practitioner, nurse-midwife, clinical nurse specialist or nurse anesthetist) may function in all of the missions of the School. Scholarly teaching is an expectation for all. The faculty member must be nationally certified and state licensed. If practice is a part of the FTE assignment, the faculty member must also be credentialed and privileged as a member of the OHSU Professional Staff in accordance with the specialty bylaws. The faculty member will provide services as determined by the Associate Dean for Practice Graduate and Clinical Programs in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The advanced practice faculty member is expected to comply with scope of practice, other laws, regulations, OHSU and SON policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.

This position reports to (supervisor): Director of Midwifery program
The duties of this position include:
1. Clinical Activities: (.60 FTE) Active full-scope midwifery practice in the midwifery faculty practice.
2. Scholarly Activities _:_Participation in midwifery research and practice scholarship as appropriate._

3. Education Activities: Clinical supervision of midwifery and other students in the clinical area. Guest lectures as appropriate. Participation in the selection and evaluation of midwifery students.
4. Service Activities: Faculty meetings, committee membership, professional activities and other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.
5. Administrative Activities: (.40 FTE) Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the midwifery faculty practice, including any additional clinical contracts related to midwifery care at OHSU. Responsibilities include: representation of the midwifery faculty practice at all relevant administrative meetings, personnel issues, quality initiatives, scheduling, practice policies and reports, planning and strategy, interprofessional collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and other specialties and departments as appropriate. Collaborates with Midwifery Practice Financial Manager to develop budget and insure financial sustainability.
6. Other Activities: Services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
Job Requirements
Education:__ Master's Degree as required by specific Advanced Practice Provider role. _

Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses: Oregon RN license, certification as a Nurse Practitioner, and current CPR card required. _(Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses: Current licensure as required by specific Advanced Practice Provider governing board(s)._

Experience: __ 2-4 years of practice of clinical experience is required.
