orgThis position entails several key responsibilities, including ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing a large breeding colony, and managing mouse use in the laboratory.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to maintain detailed records, effectively manage a complex mouse-breeding colony with diverse genetic backgrounds, conduct genotyping of genetically modified mice, supervise other laboratory staff, and foster strong collaboration with lab members and veterinary staff to maintain a high standard of care, organization, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree with major courses in area of biology or biomedicine, or similiar.
Handling and working with laboratory animals.
Lab record keeping.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as are analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in managing a mouse-breeding colony Proficiency in genotyping mice Familiarity with managing regulatory processes pertaining to rodent use in research Demonstrated ability and motivation to carry out meticulous, conscientious, and highly organized work.
Immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, flow cytometry, and/or confocal microscopy.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
