Desktop Analyst
Position SummaryJoin Veridos as a Technical Support Analyst, a remote role with periodic travel within Southern Washington and Northern Oregon.
You'll be an integral player in installing and maintaining photo capture hardware and software, and resolving technical issues related to our Driver's License Issuance platform.
In this role, you will collaborate with our external partners across Washington and Oregon, as well as with Veridos' internal teams located in various regions including Washington, Vermont, Guam, Oregon, and Ohio.
Your core responsibility will be to address software issues for our clients, both remotely and on-site.
Key Responsibilities Serve our Veridos MVR clients, addressing software and hardware needs in government sectors like K12, higher education, and local/state government.
Provide both remote and on-site troubleshooting, primarily focused on our Driver's License Issuance platform.
Deploy and maintain photo capture hardware at DMV locations, ensuring smooth software operations.
Remote and on-site problem-solving for software issues, collaborating with teams across multiple states and time zones.
Educate end-users at DMV offices on hardware and software utilization.
Develop, deploy and document preventative maintenance schedules, monitoring equipment failure rates and maintenance history.
Generate reports based on service level agreements and maintain comprehensive how-to guides and SOPs.
Provide cross-regional support to fellow Technical Support Analysts as required.
Manage and Track equipment.
Required Qualifications Expertise in Atlassian, Jira and Confluence; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
Basic troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and collaboration tools such as Slack and SharePoint.
Valid driver's license for on-site support and travel.
3-5 years customer service experience and proficiency in technical support.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with DSLR cameras (Canon preferred).
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in a technology-related field.
Prior experience in the ID card industry.
A
certification and scripting languages like JavaScript or PHP.
Basic experience or familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and QA processes.
Physical Requirements The role demands extended periods at a computer and may involve bending, kneeling, or reaching to install hardware.
Occasional travel to client locations in Southern Washington and Northern Oregon is required.
Location is flexible, but preference will be given to candidates in the Vancouver, WA area.
