Summary:
The Supervisor, Corporate Accounting, will oversee a team of Senior Accountants/Analysts to ensure the proper accounting treatment for various items and transactions with a focus on the company's leases under the new lease accounting standard, ASC 842, and the company's debt and interest rate derivatives. This position will be responsible for review of journal entries, monthly reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, lease classification testing as well as the population of drivers for lease accounting in our solution, Lucernex. Job
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions o Oversee lease accounting team to ensure all executed leases (real property, equipment, embedded) are properly accounted for o Assist in improving the processes to account for the company's leases under the new lease accounting standard (ASC 842) o Assist in improving/expanding the use of our lease solution, Lucernex, specifically the use of the lease testing module and it's reporting capabilities o Work with different departments (specifically Design and Construction, Real Estate and IT) to ensure we properly identify all leases as well as avoid entering into any leases that may cause issues with the financial plan o Oversee the accounting for debt and interest rate derivatives o Support in the preparation and updating of the daily cash forecast o Review fluctuation analysis, account recons, journal entries and lease testing o Assist with the preparation of the lease financial statement disclosure and cash flows o Assist with the development and improvement of internal controls o Assist with the financial statement audit Knowledge, Skills and Abilities o Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation o Strong communication and analytical skills o Strong Word and Excel skills o Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects o Willing and able to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines o Must be dependable, team oriented, organized and detail driven o Experience with Oracle and Lucernex a plus Qualifications BS/BA in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience 2
years of public accounting experience required CPA required Experience leading less experience staff required
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
