Strategic Finance Analyst The position can be located in the four Cambia states - OR, WA, ID or UT The Strategic Finance Analyst - Cost Accounting and Analysis - serves as a trusted finance business partner in the area(s) of support, by providing financial guidance and support; participation in the development, maintenance and analysis of Company budgets, forecasts, cost data and operating plans; supports cost savings and process improvement efforts; provides financial governance and oversight.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience in delivering highly effective presentations to a group or team. Develops financial models and analysis using advanced analytical techniques and complex financial systems; provides business with solid alternatives to issues; some guidance required. Plans, organizes, schedules, coordinates and monitors a variety of work streams. Analyze data and prepare reports for users related to costs, trends, enrollment, products and lines of business. Provides training or consulting expertise to other departments, analysts and external stakeholders. Identifies, raises and effectively articulates issues with multi-business area or cross-functional impacts; provides informal leadership if needed, monitors and improves unit work flow/processes. Thoroughly validates own work. Validates other team members reporting. Can be counted on to accurately validate complex reporting. Communicate results of analysis and recommendations in verbal and written form. Minimum Requirements:
Working knowledge of applicable statutes, policies and procedures in a specific functional area. Readily identifies and effectively articulates issues and alternatives. Proficient with word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel) programs. Must be proficient with pivot tables, index/match, and complex nested functions. Must be able to research unfamiliar functions to thoroughly understand how these are being used. Advanced competency in pulling, managing, organizing, and analyzing data. Demonstrated success with repeated solid decision-making. Demonstrated effectiveness in communications, including the ability to extract and articulate key business issues in a manner that is meaningful to the audience. Solid oral and written communication skills as well as facilitation skills. Ability to connect the dots, meaning analyze information from multiple sources to determine the impact on reporting, modeling, and analysis. Motivated, self-starting nature; responds positively to moderate guidance yet is capable of and comfortable with independent critical thinking & problem solving. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to perform difficult analytical tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to be creative and innovative in the application of data and information to support reporting and analysis needs. Demonstrated knowledge of business principles, theories, and concepts, as well as knowledge in multiple business areas (e.g. operations, HR, marketing, health care services, etc.). Proven track record in providing solid consultation, education, and influence to the business. Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above Strategic Finance Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, or statistics. CPA, CMA, MBA or ASA, along with health insurance experience preferred plus 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
