Food Production Associate (Swing Shift)

Sets up operates the case packer machine, case sealing machine, case labeling machine and the palletizing machine, may sort, and transfer containers to a reject area by forming the following duties.
Position would be required to learn and cross train with label and tray assembly operator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Setup machines to proper specifications per orders planned in production.
Labeling and coding boxes for product, to be ready for use when needed.
Watches containers on Conveyors to identify container defects, and manually deflects packages to predetermined accumulator or reject area.
Records any rejects any damages to help insure proper inventory counts.
Stops equipment to clear jams Adjusts machinery as needed to product specification, avoid damage or breakdowns.
Perform all necessary set up, change over, and sanitation required keeping the area clean and operational.
Correctly completes all applicable paperwork such as:
recipe sheets, batch info sheets, start-up and shift change forms.
Ensuring we have adequate materials to run schedule of the day.
Keeping track of materials used/wasted and documenting them accordingly Batching of raw materials in ribbon blender / kettles Assists Lead Cook:
operates HMI equipment including but not limited to:
steam jacketed kettles, valves, pumps, mixers, vacuum kettles.
Performing other work-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or GED required Minimum of one year food processing related experience Must be able to read, write speak the English language Use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools Ability to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, drug free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
