Johnstone Supply Tigard IT Support Specialist Tigard, OR 97224 We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tigard, OR.
We are looking for an individual who can solve and support IT issues for our internal customers including hardware and applications.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will:
Directly assist users in-person, by phone or email to identify issues, and manage multiple user requests simultaneously with a friendly and professional manner Asks questions and actively listens to identify the cause of the issue.
Researches and provides solutions Follows up promptly on all user requests for assistance.
Proactively communicates with users about the status of their issue Develops good working relationships and rapport with users Work as part of a team providing end user helpdesk support.
Coordinates with other IS personnel as needed to resolve issues in a timely manner Monitors, maintains, updates and administers access control, alarm systems, printers, personal computers, phones, phone systems (VOIP), tablets and mobile phones.
Work is remote and local (occasional overnight travel) Provide weekly status updates on all critical activities and projects Contribute to establishing company standards and procedures, creates and maintains documentation Researches solutions and presents options to management to meet business goals Through Johnstone University you will have access to a robust offering of courses that you can utilize to build the skills for your personal career path.

Minimum 2-3 years of IT support experience, preferably supporting remote sites; high school diploma or general education degree (GED), college degree preferred and/or industry certifications.
Ability to learn and to problem solve.
Be able to effectively troubleshoot software/hardware issues specific to staff needs.
Your ability to be a dynamic part of a fun team.
A clean driving record, as this role will occasionally travel to the 14 branches with occasional overnight travel (2 in California, 5 in Oregon, 7 in Washington).
Advanced computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite and Windows 10.
Experience with Linux a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills required along with having good listening skills.
