Workplace:
Hybrid/RemoteEssential Job Functions Investigates, confirms coverage, determines liability, establishes damages, reports status and negotiates the settlement of assigned cases in a supervised learning environment.
Exposures will include but are not limited to $150,000 requiring in-depth investigation, analysis, evaluation, and negotiation skills.
Has authority to make payment of assigned claims within prescribed limits, with supervisory review and approval.
Use claims handling software and laptop to determine claims related bodily injury in a paperless environment Represents the Company from a public relations standpoint and must conduct oneself as a member of Management at all times.
Use strong customer service skills to negotiate with policyholders to settle the claim.
Physical Actions Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.
g.
others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Visually verifies and reads information.
Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience Requirements Customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function (SG32 or SG33 based on experiene) Must achieve minimum passing score on all claims training exams Special Skill Requirement Excellent communication skills - both written and oral Computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Outlook Proficiency with smartphones and applications Benefits Farmers offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and location.
