Budget Analyst


Summary:
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.

, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-09:
1 year of specialized experience at the GS-7 level, examples include:
Prepare budget estimates; prepare budget plans; track approved budgets plans; monitor effective fund control per policies and procedures; provide financial management assistance to staff on department and program budgets.
AND/OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as LL.
B or J.
D.
) AND/OR have a combination of education and specialized experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-09 level.
GS-11:
1 year of specialized experience at the GS-9 level, examples include:
formulate budget estimates; present budget plans; analyze approved budgets plans; maintain effective fund control policies and procedures; provide financial management advice and assistance to staff on department and program budgets, allowances in financial systems, and requests for funds analysis.
AND/OR completed a Ph.
D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such degree or LL.
M.
AND/OR have a combination of education and specialized experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-09 level.
GS-12:
1 year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, examples include:
Education, or training in Oracle applications in order to compare program spending plans and funding balances and experience in using the Budget Execution module of Oracle in order to allowance dollars to federal and tribal programs.
Experience should also include monitoring and tracking of expenditures in comparison with program plans; leading, directing and assigning work to a Budget staff; develop spending plans and budgets for programs; interpret policy and briefing senior management on budget related issues.
Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.
Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
