Summary:
The Pre-Press Production Artist (PPA) aids in the production of direct mail marketing and advertising projects for Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS).
The PPA serves as the primary backup to the Prepress Operator in performing digital page layout, image manipulation, and other functions to ensure files are prepped for printing based on client job specifications.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Helps with the production of digital and print marketing campaigns by typesetting and formatting the layout before production.
Manages and edits digital files used in the production and design of marketing campaigns.
Provides backup to the Prepress Operator as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience One to three years' experience as a Prepress Production Artist Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Strong printing and Prepress skills, with the ability to create and review file image quality, color space accuracy, and proper mechanical set-up prior to release for production Keen eye for detail and ability to power through repetitive tasks and multiple simultaneous assignments Recognition of the importance of continually improving the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of production processes Ability to adjust rapidly with changing client needs Direct mail marketing and digital design experience preferred
