How this role transforms workplaces:
The HR Generalist acts as point of contact for Human Resources and serves as the liaison between Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon (MHAAO) and Xenium.
In conjunction with Xenium's HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist provides HR guidance/compliance.
Serves as primary point of contact for Human Resources and on-site liaison between the client Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon and Xenium.
Maintains communication with Xenium HRBP on technical and strategic Human Resource issues/recommendations.
Supports the HR department with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding activities, including revising job descriptions, posting job openings, tracking applicants, preparing offer letters, processing new hire paperwork, scheduling new hires for training and orientation, and providing support to hiring managers and new hires to help ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
Provides support to the HR Director for benefits administration, leave administration, processing workers compensation claims, assisting with investigations and disciplinary issues, and other special projects.
Supports separation process including distribution and collection of exit interviews, preparation and processing of termination paperwork, and processing of unemployment claims.
Handles HR administrative tasks including personnel data management, legal and policy compliance, claims processing, coordinating staff training, and preparing personnel documents in an accurate, timely, and professional manner.
Participates in evaluation of the organization's policies, procedures, and reporting affecting workplace safety and health.
Provides support to other MHAAO departments who provide staff training and development activities.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant professional events, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional groups.
Who you'll work with:
HR Business Partner, Xenium Specialists, Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon employeesRequired experience and skills:
Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university combined with at least three years of applicable experience.
Recruiting experience preferred.
Has strong working knowledge of peer support principles and values, peer work, mental health, addiction and recovery services, treatment programs and services, and social service systems and agencies.
Has strong working knowledge and experience with Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and Trauma-Informed practices.
Commitment to advancing racial equity, and diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in the workplace.
Demonstrated collaborative skills working with diverse groups of people to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work independently.
Possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as proofreading and editing skills.
Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Display empathy while maintaining firm boundaries.
Ability to work independently while developing and fostering critical interdepartmental relationships.
Ability to travel via car occasionally.
Preferred skills and certifications:
Professional Human Resources certified.

The starting salary for this role ranges from $60,000-71,000/year based on skills/knowledge, years of experience, and ensuring pay equity within the organization.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
