An ideal candidate will be excited to grow our existing HR policies and procedures to the next level.
They will bring their experience and knowledge to reviewing and structuring our company policies, update them accordingly for federal funding compliance requirements, and support our company culture.

Responsibilities:
Full cycle recruiting for a variety of roles, hourly & salary, for a 24/7 facility Maintain pipeline of candidates for high demand positions Benefits administration, including knowledge of trends and options to remain competitive Be a resource for employees with questions about policies, roles/responsibilities, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for employee growth.
Serving as a link between company leaders/management and employees by aiding in the rolling out of new company processes and policies, setting up training opportunities or resources to help staff be successful, and responding to staff questions.
Organizing, advising, and helping with the documentation of annual reviews and employee progress, and maintaining personnel records.
Manage employee relations, including mediating interpersonal issues, and administering disciplinary procedures.
Assist with staff trainings, events, and other morale-boosting activities, as well as working within our company values of creating and maintaining a healthy working environment and staff connections.
Advising leadership on when processes, policies and/or initiatives need to evolve to better meet staff needs - particularly thinking about bringing an equity lens to our company structures.
Refine, improve and maintain company policies, procedures, employee handbook to ensure an equitable and healthy working environment and ensure legal or regulatory compliance for governmental funding.
Compiling operational data and interviewing employees to collect information to recommend operational decisions or activities, inform personnel decisions, and identify causes of personnel problems.
Preparing reports related to compliance matters, annual employee reviews, and an annual employee engagement survey.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Experience
Skills:
5-8 years of relevant human resources experience.
3
years experience recruiting Experience in a non-profit environment a plus.
Proven team player who shows the utmost respect for others, values difference among individuals, and can work effectively with/receive assignments from people with different personalities and styles.
Express ideas clearly in written and oral communication with tact and diplomacy, while maintaining confidentiality.
Well-developed interpersonal skills that show cultural curiosity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations, as well as being dedicated to advancing racial equity within our workplace and putting people first.
Advanced knowledge of business practices, organization, time management, record keeping, note taking, etc.
related to human resources management.
Advanced proficiency with current MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google products to compile, analyze and present data/information to staff.
Experience advising on and implementing equity-based practices and policies.
Experience working at a small organization.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet changing demands and deadlines.
Demonstrates active learning, problem-solving and decision-making; a desire to find creative solutions.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
