9K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Position Summary Asset Protection Specialist in a fast-paced dynamic distribution environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Development and implementation of policies and procedures focused on maximizing physical security, access control, safety, emergency response, investigations and minimizing theft and fraud.
Maintain mass communication platform and intelligence gathering application.
Supervise contract security guards and status regularly with contract guard management.
Development and implementation of detailed standard operating procedures for contract guards in order to ensure physical security, access control, shipment accuracy etc.
Interface and educate employees on Asset Protection, shrinkage, safety and impact on the business.
Cultivate partnerships with local law enforcement, first responders, 3rd party vendors.
Maintain all aspects of physical security, key and access control.
Respond and quickly resolve crisis situations.
Assist in training of management team on appropriate crisis response procedures.
Ensure completion of patrols and audits of corporate locations on a regular basis to maximize safety and physical security.
Monitor and secure the flow of visitors, employees, applicants, contractors etc.
inside of the office.
Conduct investigations on acts of theft and fraud.
Maintain camera system and ensure all critical areas are monitored.
Maintain mass communication platform.
Develop proactive patrol and surveillance routines focused on prevention.
Interface with other departments including, but not limited to DH, Information Technology Legal, HR, Maintenance, and Retail.
Ensure completion of assigned projects in an organized and efficient manner on time and within budget.
Preparation of accurate and timely work papers and formal written reports and make oral presentations to management on findings and recommendations when necessary.
Develop and maintain good working relationships throughout the business.
Maintain travel briefing program.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Ability to influence leadership on best practices for physical security, minimizing loss due to theft, and proactively educate teams on trends related to shortage.
PC
Experience:
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) Must possess good communication, organizational, time management and personal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated skill to inspire and motivate others to perform well.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures; ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Education And / Or Experience Bachelor's degree and/or up to 3 years' experience related to distribution / retail asset protection, or law enforcement State Certified Security Officer (Armed or Unarmed).
Proven experience in conducting internal investigations and certificatioSn on interviewing techniques is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
