Seeking Veterinary Tech Assistant
VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital located in NE Portland, Oregon is looking for Experienced Veterinary Assistants to join their 6-doctor Small Animal Practice!We are looking for experienced (1 year minimum) or certified Veterinary Assistants to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education.
Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assist in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area.
Schedule:
Full-time opportunity.
Flexible scheduling.
Typically, 4/10'sCompensation:
$21-24 / hour.

We are seeking FT experienced veterinary assistants who have a flexible schedule and have a passion for the human animal bond.

As a member of the VCA Laurelhurst team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent-by delivering an outstanding client experience-so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.
The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
Providing compassionate care and assistance for our hospitalized animals.
Maintaining medical records.
Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed in the treatment area.
Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
