Contract, flexible 3 - 4 hours per day We are currently looking for a qualified and compassionate Social Worker for a contract assignment in Portland, Oregon.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting a diverse set of clients in navigating through complex social issues, including homelessness, substance abuse, poverty, and domestic violence.
The Social Worker will provide assessments, counseling, referrals, and follow-up services, and coordinate with other professionals to facilitate comprehensive care and support.
Responsibilities:
1.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to understand their needs, situations, strengths, and support networks.
2.
Develop, implement, and review individualized service plans.
3.
Assist clients in accessing necessary services and resources in the community, including food assistance, housing, healthcare, and legal aid.
4.
Provide counseling and psychotherapy services, if qualified, to help clients manage their situations and improve their mental health.
5.
Advocate for client rights and needs at meetings and other forums.
6.
Document and maintain complete and accurate records of client progress, and update case files as necessary.
Qualifications:
1.
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
2.
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
3.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a social work capacity.
This contract role offers a competitive hourly wage of $55-60, five days a week.
