401K Savings plan Responsibilities Monitor, record, and support plant sanitation and personal hygiene of staff according to company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies.
Monitor, record, and support HACCP and GMP programs as delegated by the Food Safety and Quality Manager.
Perform pre-operational inspections, ATP swabbing, and Allergen testing.
Perform process checks throughout the production and packaging process such as ensuring labels, case count, product integrity, and net weight are accurate and meet specifications.
Report variances and non-conformities to department supervisor/manager.
Standardize, operate, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Schedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratory for product testing.
Collect samples and perform microbiological and organoleptic testing of raw materials and finished products.
Maintain and organize retention samples.
Evaluate returns for defects and categorize.
Materials dispositions.
Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies.
Special projects and other assignment duties.
Qualifications A.
A.
and/or B.
S.
degree in scientific discipline.
1-2 years of experience in food industry.
Background in quality control of food products and SQF preferred.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills - oral and written.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Proficient math skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to use senses to great degree to distinguish differences.
