Full-time/part-time, $21.
60 per hour/non-exempt/differentials depending on shift scheduleEssential Functions/Duties:
The ability to operate a motor vehicle safely whether it be a sedan, wheelchair van, or an ambulance.
This position requires a high level of attentiveness to safety while operating a motor vehicle to transport individuals to and from medical appointments from their residences, hospitals, assisted care facilities or other destin ations in a timely manner.
The Qualified Driver is responsible for accurate and complete communication between customers and Comtrans staff by the followin g:
Paper documentationMDT's (Mobile Data Terminal device s )G eographical computer mappingHours of operation are up to 24/7 including holidays and during extreme weather conditions based on local and management discretion.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Age:
At least 21 years of age to qualify to drive a company vehicle due to insurance policy.
Have or the ability to obtain a State of Oregon or Washington valid driver's license with a good driving record to meet Comtrans motor vehicle record standards.
Pass Physical Agility TestAbility to complete an American Heart Association BLS CPR classAssist Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with patient care:
lifting, moving equipment and patients.
Sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work independently and as a team memberAbility to maintain HIPPA in all environments (Private residences, hospitals, or Care Facilities).
Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions.
Ability to perform essential job dutiesMaintains consistent attendance expectationsJob Description(s) are subject to change based on business necessities.
Skills, and Knowledge and Abilities:
Effective communication in English, both verbally and written , a s well as computer literate (due to training and documentation with computer programs).

Provide proper customer communication that expresses the company's vision and placing the customer with the utmost importance.
Understand customer service for external customers as well as internal customers/co-workersAbility to work independently with little supervision with efficiencyHave excellent driving skillsBe a team playerPhysical Requirements:
Ability to stand, climb stairs /steps, escort clients to and from destinations, kneel, crouch, reach, and extend arms.
Ability to get in and out of vehicles multiple times per daySit in a driving position from 1 to 12 hours (with periodic breaks)Ability to lift or move at least 40lbs or greater with assistance from co- worker and or other care staff.
Ability to bend, kneel, secure wheelchairs and clients securing in vehicles multiple times per dayAbility to carry, lift and install child car seats into vehicles and secure children into child safety seats as needed ( after training).
Ability to work in a variety of environments, inside and outside in all weather conditions.
