Now hiring in Portland, ORInstructional Design III Remote in ID, OR, WA, UT Primary Job Purpose The Instructional Design III will build and maintain strong partnerships with operations leaders to gather and create content, conduct ongoing review, and make updates and revisions to ensure relevant, engaging, and instructionally sound learningThis role will be responsible to seek out opportunities for deepening own knowledge and expertise in environment, pedagogical and content issues, and process improvementsServe as a mentor and coach peers to help grow and strengthen team membersGeneral Functions and Outcomes Represent department in the absence of leader Lead significant division-wide or cross-divisional learning initiatives resulting in measurable impact Identify and drive division-wide learning and development initiatives resulting in measurable impact Coach, train, and mentor team members Organizes and coordinates social learning communities to reinforce strategic skills Responsible for training administration, tracking, and reporting for learning and development activities Assist supervisor in establishing department goals by gathering information from reports covering status of work, inventories, turnaround, attendance, timeliness, quality, and quantity performance measures of employeesIdentifying and evaluating trends, developing a course of action, and evaluating outcomes Responsible to seek out opportunities for deepening own knowledge and expertise in environment, pedagogical and content issues, and process improvement Minimum Requirements Experience implementing and managing training administration and skills tracking Demonstrated leadership competency with the ability to direct and coordinate activities of others both individually and within a project team or cross-functional work groups, including demonstration of effective project management from idea to implementation Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong partnerships with operations leaders to gather and create content, conduct ongoing review and make updates and revisions to ensure relevant, engaging and instructionally sound learning Ability to manage significant workload, set priorities, delegate work, manage conflict and to work efficiently under pressure meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface and communicate with a broad array of internal and external contacts Ability to mentor and support co-workers and provide training to new team members Ability to use data and metrics to identify and measure success of improvement initiatives Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:
Instructional Design III would have a bachelors degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development and/or equivalent experienceTypically requires 5 years of experience in adult education/learning experience design that includes experiences in curriculum development, instructional design, training program presentation, web development and adult learning in a related business, technological or health care environmentIf e-learning focused, requires demonstrated success (minimum 4 years) developing e-learning with asynchronous tools (i.e., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.), along with experience in graphic design and layout (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite)Experience with multimedia development/editing software (i.e., image, audio, and video editing) also requiredMasters preferred#LI-Remote Recommended Skills Administration Adobe Creative Suite Adult Education Business Process Improvement Coaching And Mentoring Curriculum Development Apply to this job. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
