Summary:
The position will be responsible for driving initiatives related to emerging and advanced innovative technologies for Care Delivery Technology Services (CDTS), such as artificial intelligence, automation, and machine learning, and more.
The executive director will lead a team dedicated to understanding opportunities across new and advanced technologies to enhance experience and outcomes across the care delivery technology journey.
Through this knowledge, the position will support CDTS product and service leadership in discerning key opportunities for innovation that advance broader organizational priorities, for incorporation into their respective portfolios strategic roadmaps.
Strategy & Vision:
This position will partner with CDTS product and service team leadership to define a strategic roadmap for emerging technology initiatives across the care delivery technology portfolios.
In this function, the position will collaborate with CDTS, markets, clinical teams, care delivery operations, KP enterprise-wide Gen AI councils, and more to understand and bring forward opportunities that leverage innovative technologies to advance the care delivery journey and broader organizational priorities.
The technologies explored will reflect industry trends; for example, the focus may be on artificial intelligence, automation, and machine learning in the immediate future, but the executive director will be responsible for evolving that focus in response to market advances.
Proof of Concepts:
This position will help drive the execution of CDTS s new and emerging technology strategies by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to design and pilot proof of concepts.
This position will also be responsible for partnering with product and service teams to launch and scale the proof of concepts, and for collaborating with the Value Realization Office to define and measure the programs outcomes and opportunities for broader implementation.
Industry Analysis:
This position is responsible for staying up to date and educating broader CDTS leadership on relevant industry trends and industry disruptors.
The position will utilize external resources to understand the emerging technology landscape, within and beyond healthcare, and its relevant applications.
This role will lead a team and set guidelines for what is relevant for further expertise development.
They will also establish guidelines for credibility to ensure the integrity the ideas and opportunities brought forward to CDTS.
Ongoing Education:
This position will shape the future trajectory of education related to innovative technology across CDTS.
This role will develop a strategy for distributing learnings and gathering direct feedback for innovative ideas from teams.
This role will use best practices to engage stakeholders, create a culture of continuous learning, and execute transformative change across teams.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Staying current on industry best practices and innovative approaches related to emerging technology solutions across the care delivery journey Understanding and collaborating with all stakeholders involved in innovation and emerging technology work across KP, including CDTS teams, the KP enterprise-wide Gen AI councils, partners, vendors, etc.
For example, this may include teams focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and machine learningConnecting with KP leadership and enterprise-wide Gen AI councils to ensure CDTS s emerging technology strategies and visions are connected and aligned to broader organizational strategies Collaborating with CDTS product group leads to shape their strategic roadmaps based on expertise and understanding gathered internally and externally Collaborating with Customer Relationship Management and Market Operations teams to develop relationships with key leaders in each market and partner with them to understand and support their strategic initiatives, business priorities, and program delivery related to new, emerging, and advanced technologiesIdentifying opportunities through internal and external partners to design and pilot proof of concepts for the emerging technologies; then partnering with product and service teams to actually launch and scale the proof of concepts and measure their outcomes Defining the overarching goals, vision, and principles that will guide new, emerging, and advanced technology educationOutlining and driving the approach for new, emerging, and advanced technology educationLeading a team to synthesize technological industry trends for CDTSUnderstanding detailed end-to-end experience flows for discernment on what innovation is relevant for CDTSDefining key performance indicators to measure research, education, and overall innovation for CDTSTracking progress toward innovation goals in collaboration with the Value Realization Office Establishing, monitoring, and analyzing performance to identify areas for improvement and adjustments to strategyQualificationsBasic
Qualifications:
ExperienceMinimum of ten (10) years executive and leadership experience in IT, budget management combined with current knowledge of technology and trends in a product management or relevant experience.
Minimum of five (5) years experience specifically in AI or Automation technology.
EducationBachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related field required.
License, Certification, RegistrationN/AAdditional Requirements:
Experience in working in or with clinical operations on technology related efforts; previous experience in digital technologies.
Demonstrated ability to be a good facilitator and ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated vendor management capabilities and experience with contracting, performance management and delivery.
Demonstrated business acumen, knowledge of business case development, financial management, strategic planning, and program management skills Track record of delivering value to an organization.
Includes the identification and articulation of problems, influencing decision-making process as well as delivery of expected resultsA proven solutions leader who leads by example through strong personal leadership and conviction, possesses consensus building skills and a true team orientation, and displays impeccable interpersonal skills.
A strong team player who is willing to partner and engage with the business leadership to deliver substantive, value-add to the operations.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in process/workflow design or technology adoption, particularly in care delivery efforts, highly desirable.
Proven experience should include success in leadership capability, ability to grow and develop high performance teams that are geographically dispersed within a matrixed organization and a customer/patient focus are desired.
