You will be responsible for modeling and analyzing liability cash flows related to individual life insurance and annuity products.
Theindividual will develop solutions that contribute to quality improvements or work process effectiveness and will also be involved in strategic initiatives to help the business reach its goals.

Profile Description:

  • Use actuarial modeling software to project cash flows for the purpose of managing the inforce block and supporting strategic initiatives

  • Develop analysis of model output and communicate results

  • Work closely with internal and external parties in supporting various aspects of in force management including but not limited to dividends, credited rates, and illustration testing.

  • Communicate results to various interested parties including manager and Senior Management

  • Collaborate with other departments in order to support strategic initiatives and execute value creation opportunities

  • Diagnose problems and/or areas for improvement; design and execute solutions to improve business performance

Knowledge &
Experience:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work on several projects concurrently

  • Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of life insurance and annuity products; ability to use this knowledge to lead/develop solutions to ad-hoc requests or issues

  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance or related business discipline

  • ASA or newly credentialed FSA

  • 5-6
    years financial, insurance industry, or actuarial experience

  • Excellent computer skills (especially Excel, Access, Visual Basic)

  • Experience with Prophet Actuarial Software is a plus

  • Ability to challenge current methodologies/approaches and develop more efficient and effective solutions

  • Strong understanding of insurance products and insurance company operations

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
