Responsibilities include: The Histology Technologist is responsible for processing all tissues and fluids submitted to the department, preparing/staining tissue slides, and assuring they are available in a timely manner for the doctor to review and interpretation.
Mohs responsibilities include: specimen handling, freezing and cutting, labeling and storing slides, preparing and mixing solutions, management of cryostat, and more.
Dermatology Pathology Lab and Histo Tech responsibilities include: accessioning and grossing tissue, processing and embedding tissues, H&E stains, immunohistochemistry staining, daily maintenance of all equipment, and more.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in science related field, required
Current Histology Technician certification, required
Histology tech experience, 1 year
Current CPR certification, preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
