Volt'sClient is a premier hardware company that specializes in decorative house hardware and lighting. They are looking for aCustomer Service Representativeto assist their clients primarily over the phone. These customers are spending a great deal of money on items from their home and providing excellent customer service to these clients is of the utmost importance. This is a blue collar work environment located next to the company warehouse. The work days are Monday through Friday and the hours will be from 9am until approximately, 5:30pm. Once converted, this company has an outstanding benefits package. This is a small, close nit team, with a family feel to the business.
The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Representative is to handle all customer inquiries (both external and internal) in a timely manner. Inquiries can be delivered by inbound calls, customer initiated cases through the CRM program Netsuite, emails directly from the customer, and outbound calls to customers. This is afull-time position at 30-40 hours per week. If the Customer Service Representative has the ability to assist the purchasing department with data entry, then 40 hours is more likely to happen.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Provide excellent customer service with interpersonal phone etiquette skills.
Provide the customer with a sense of value to the company.
Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls on voicemails left by customers.
Update notes to document customer issues if need be.
Respond to emails from customers requesting assistance.
Respond to cases from customers needing assistance.
Analyze and correct billing disputes from customers.
Escalate calls to Customer Service Manager when appropriate.
Work with other departments (i.e. Warehouse, Sales) as needed to gather and disseminate information for customers.
Contact shipper to resolve lost packages, damaged packages or shipping delays for customers.
Secure and protect customer data.
Place new sales orders, replacement sales orders and prepare returns for customers.
Utilize call center type applications to process work with customers.
Data entry as needed.
Update customer records with tracking information.
Delegated items from the Customer Service Manager.

Job Requirements
Customer Service RepresentativeQualifications:
2+ years customer service experiencerequired. This must be from providing customer service to clients in the following industries: hardware, gardening, construction, contracting, electrical, lighting, plumbing, millwork and/or another similar industry. Examples include: Home Depot, Lowe's etc.
Experience using CRM or ERP databases to manage customer contacts and process orders is highly preferred. Netsuite experience is a definite plus! This is a PLUS, PLUS; it BORDERLINES ON BEING ESSENTIAL
The ideal candidate is someone who has experience working with customers who work with their hands.
Ability to positively work with very particular clientele and turn a negative situation into a positive one if need be.
Flexible, willing to get your hands dirty and find things to do during down time.
Superb listening abilities and a quick learner who can learn easily on the fly.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma is required. Associate's Degree preferred.
Must have outstanding
communication
skills.
Must be flexible with regard to schedule to meet business volume demands.
Must enjoy working in customer service, working on a
computer
and assisting clients over the phone for the vast majority of the day.
Strong organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail are required.
Must have a strong work ethic, great attendance, high activity level and display a high level of initiative.
