Functions/Duties of Position
Extending Epic to all OHSU locations of care and to selected OHSU Partners is a key component of OHSU's strategy to provide services across the continuum of care and to partner with others to improve patient experience, clinical quality and safety, and cost effectiveness.
The Technical Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating technical activities associated with Community Connect and partner sites. This position supports implementing the network infrastructure and system to system interfaces required for partner sites to access and use the OHSU Epic and third party healthcare applications.
The position will coordinate activities associated with gathering system requirements, the design, installation, and testing of infrastructure. The integration effort will include network connectivity, printing, end user devices, Citrix access and system to system interface integration. This position will be responsible for assigning tasks to other project team members and monitoring their progress throughout the project life cycle. The Technical Project Lead has accountability for the successful implementation of assigned projects, meeting commitments to scope, budget, and schedule.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in health care, computer science, information technology, or related field.
Minimum of five years of experience with major IT projects.
Significant organizational and management skills, specifically within a large organization.
Experience with building and maintaining successful vendor relationships.
Experience in complex technology environment.
Proven record of successful project management
Broad range of knowledge of infrastructure technologies and vendors.
Proven ability to manage projects involving implementation of technology platforms and associated applications including network. Infrastructure, servers, storage, etc.
Successful candidates must show that they have significant organizational skills and can lead projects from conception, schedule, design, testing, through implementation.
Effective leadership of highly-skilled technical personnel in overseeing the development and implementation of applications.
Must have excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both verbal and written.
Ability to lead large group of diverse people.
Ability to influence, motivate and provide clear direction.
Ability to work independently, and as part of team, while being collaborative in resolving problems.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks efficiently while successfully meeting assigned deadlines.
