Functions/Duties of Position
This position is responsible for leading Knight Cancer Institute application projects in their initiation, planning, execution, and operational support phases. The position will provide excellent customer service in achieving the following objectives: (1) ensure complex systems support for current users and future operations, (2) evaluate processes, user requirements, and system functionality to assist in the selection and implementation of complex systems, and (3) organize, monitor, and deliver information technology solutions according to project schedule.
The position is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and enhancement of Knight Cancer Institute applications /systems from concept through testing, problem reporting and analysis, and participation in systems implementation and upgrades. The position works in system design, program development, analyzes system requirements, and implements new applications, interfaces, and systems according to project and operational support schedule.This position requires the ability to work autonomously and make decisions on policies and systems design.
The position requires extensive coordination and interaction with expert users. The incumbent is responsible for developing robust systems and integrations which meet customer needs while working within established standards and policies. This position has extensive interaction with senior managers in Knight Cancer institute and Information Technology Group.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with 5 years of experience in IT; OR equivalent experience working in a complex information technology environment.
Three years or more paid work experience as a Project Leader managing and implementing information system projects.
Successful candidates must show that they have significant organizational skills and can lead projects from conception, schedule, design, testing, through implementation.
Understanding and ability to apply the 5 Process Groups and 9 Knowledge areas defined by PMI to a variety of projects.
Ability to work in a highly autonomous role by demonstrating self-motivation and creativity in design approach.
Ability to function effectively in a very dynamic team environment.
Ability to effectively write policies and procedures and SOP's.
Ability to proactively pursue problem resolution to satisfy customer needs.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks efficiently while successfully meeting assigned deadlines.
Working knowledge of university operations and processes.
Proven history of developing, driving and maintaining policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of Diagnostic Lab and BioBanking Enterprise Management Systems (BEMS) as well as understanding of related support issues.
Ability to lead large group of diverse people.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
