Functions/Duties of Position
Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, facilitates and manages the Data Governance function and processes, and is responsible for day-to-day activities of all the data and business process governance initiatives, processes, compliance, monitoring and leadership organizations. The Business Information Architect is responsible for various data governance tasks including the management of data assets of the organization, the establishment and maintenance of data quality metrics, and maintenance of metadata across enterprise data marts and ensuring consistent use of data management resources. Responsible for guiding and supporting a Corporate Data Governance Committee to define the scope and priorities of the data governance activities. This position will be responsible for ensuring that information in both vendor-supplied data warehouse systems (Epic Clarity/Cogito) and OHSU proprietary systems (notably data warehouses from departmental systems has methods and metadata available to contribute to trust in the information.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in business or computer science or related field and four years work related experience in the information technology field; OR Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or related field and six years work related experience in the information technology field; OR Associate's degree in business or computer science or related field and seven years work related experience in the information technology field; OR Eight years work related experience in the information technology field; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate's degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Two or more years of experience with Cognos products or other BI products.
One or more years of experience with information management tools - IBM InfoSphere preferred.
Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and documenting associated business requirements for large-scale IT projects.
Experience planning and managing large-scale IT projects.
1 year or more of experience working on a Data governance initiative.
