Portland Timbers/EXOS Performance Specialist Intern

EXOS has teamed up with the Portland Timbers Organization to create a World Class Performance Department. Together we have created a department of Elite Professionals that have implemented the EXOS systems into an Elite team sports environment from the top to bottom. From the Portland Timbers First team all the way down to their Academy clubs, athletes are being upgraded on a daily basis. EXOS and the Timbers have implemented the EXOS systems to continue to optimize Elite athletes and develop youth athletes using world class methodology.

Performance Specialist Internship with EXOS We are seeking dynamic individuals that bring exceptional skills and abilities to our team, and have a passion for providing outstanding service to our elite clientele.
Hours: This is an unpaid academic internship. Interns must obtaining relevant educational credit to qualify for this internship.
Overview: Our goal is to expose you to different philosophies and ideas and how they are integrated into our methodology and systems of training. We want you to learn how to evaluate the body in a more 3 dimensional format, understanding the entire kinetic chain and prescribing and implementing the best exercises and progressions to meet the individual needs of each athlete. Open your mind about all of the possibilities when training athletes--think outside the box and forget the cookie cutter approach.
This internship provides a unique experience as it integrates EXOS methodologies into the team sport environment. Working with the Portland Timbers Organization will expose you to the daily challenges of implementing performance training at the highest level around the demands of the sport on a daily basis. The internship will encompass the responsibilities a performance coach will encounter not only in a training environment, but in the team sport environment as a whole. Interns will also get the unique chance to working with GPS and Recovery/Readiness technology.
Daily duties and responsibilities include: facility and weight room maintenance, equipment set-up and break down, leading regen sessions, program coaching, program and schedule design, GPS Adidas miCoach implementation, Omegawave implementation, movement and warmup coaching, and assisting the Performance Specialists as needed with various aspects of training and testing, and much more.

Proficient with Anatomy
Coaching/Training experience
Computer Literate-Word and Excel
Excellent communications skills
Attention to Detail
Proactive
Fulfilling a curriculum/graduation requirement in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Sport Science, or related field
Must be certified in First Aid/CPR for the duration of the internship term
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Hardworking mentality and excited upbeat attitude
Open mind and willingness to learn

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
