IT Specialist

As an IT Specialist, you will:
Apply advanced Microsoft SharePoint knowledge to provide technical direction in support deployed SharePoint infrastructure. Advise and coordinate technical direction and best practice uses form Microsoft Project Server. Plan and coordinate projects that involve multiple stages in the systems development life cycle management process. Perform a variety of work involving applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems. Lead or conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions. Plan and coordinate BPA-wide implementation of process improvement methods and concepts. Perform a variety of work involving the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software. Lead a multi-functional development project in software analysis, design, development, and implementation for a new system or major enhancement to an existing system. Ensure applications are optimized for state-of-the-art technology and functionality. Serve as primary liaison between customers and vendors and IT management throughout the development process. BASIC REQUIREMENT You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four (4) competencies listed below. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
1) analyzing, developing, and implementing a web-based collaborative platform (such as MS SharePoint), in conjunction with a project portfoliomanagement server (such as MS Project Server); AND 2) testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems within a web-based collaborative platform (such as MSSharePoint) and project portfolio management server (such as MS Project Server). There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 level. Your resume should demonstrate that you possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies (KSACs). Software Engineering:
Knowledge of software engineering design and development methodologies, paradigms, and tools; the software life cycle; software reusability; and software reliability metrics. Software Testing and Evaluation:
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing software test and evaluation procedures. Systems Integration:
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures for installing, integrating, and optimizing information systems components. Systems Testing and Evaluation:
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing systems testing and evaluation procedures and technical characteristics of IT systems, including identifying critical operational issues. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Time-in-Grade:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
