PacifiCorp is recruiting a Sr. Business Systems Analyst within its newly developed Wildfire Safety Department to manage overall coordination and support the delivery of wildfire mitigation regulatory filings and programs across all of PacifiCorp s service territory

General Purpose

Conducts analysis of business systems through research, gathering and interpretation of data, development of alternatives and recommendations. Presents technical analysis and recommendations to management and may recommend alternatives. Works with business unit and IT to work through systems implementations, upgrades and problem resolution. Analyses include, but are not limited to, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, trending/forecasting, financial analysis, budget analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a customer first culture and commit to delivering outstanding results for customers.
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and analysis using understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Translate complex business need into IT technical requirements.
  • Provide systems administration and process execution of management and maintenance systems.
  • Develop or modify complex information systems to meet business needs.
  • Documents user and system requirements and revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary
  • Coordinate and ensure quality and integrity of input data into operational and forecast systems.
  • Provide expert data analysis for development and maintenance of modeling and reporting systems.
  • Create tools to automate processes involving input and extraction of data and both regular and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze output data and reports and provide interpretation and concise communication of results.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage delivery of data request content specific to wildfire mitigation
  • Develop and manage stakeholder register and external agency communication regarding wildfire initiatives, plans, and programs
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage delivery of presentations, reports, and project plan materials to executive leadership regarding wildfire mitigation initiatives and progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Computer Science, IT or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience providing financial data analysis and management for development and maintenance of business based information management systems.
  • Knowledge of data gathering, analysis, forecasting, and modeling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
  • Ability to deliver to project timelines, budgets and specifications.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment.

Preferences

  • Experience in energy trading or public utility business.
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio, Office, SQL, Cognos reporting system, and VBA.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
