Architect
Jacobs is seeking motivated and experienced Architects, to join our growing team of multi-discipline professionals, delivering outstanding planning, design, and CM services to our NW clients, in our core markets:
corporate, transportation, municipal, federal, aviation, and industrial.
As an experienced Architect, you'll provide design, technical development, documentation, and execution of complex program driven facilities and contribute to growth, profitability, and sustainable development of the Jacobs Built Environment practice.
Your primary focus is design deliverables for design-bid-build projects (plans, specifications, design analysis), design-build documents, engineering studies, feasibility reports and other engineering requirements for large and/or multiple corporate and public sector projects.
You'll provide effective, skilled design implementation to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the project by applying proven design techniques.
Using your experience you'll support construction phase services as required by the scope of work.
This typically includes services performed in office environment such as coordinating Jacobs' responses to RFIs, shop drawing reviews, construction modification documents and site assistance visits and supports the design team in the development of design and project documents by collaborating and contributing to the design team solutions, coordination with internal team members, and adherence to project schedules to meet deliverable milestones and commitments.
You'll mentor and train less experienced team members in architecture methods, procedures and activities.
Qualifications :
Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture) Minimum 3 years of experience as an Architect in an Architectural or Engineering organization with demonstrated design deliverable experience within private and/or public sector markets.
Strong working knowledge of architecture related pre-design and pre-construction, design implementation, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, building codes and sustainability principles.
Professional Registered Architect (RA) - State of Washington preferred.
LEED AP preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
